WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

  • Diversity is a major component of our everyday lives, and while research shows that it is highly valuable for scientific innovation, diversity is currently marginalized in leadership positions. In this workshop, doctoral candidates Claudèle Lemay-St-Denis and Rojo Rakotoharisoa will give an overview of the current equity, diversity, and inclusion status of academia and, using theoretical concepts, they will present what contributes to preventing minorities from having successful scientific careers in research.
